The putty resists cracking of the substrate and peeling off of the film by virtue of its stress-relieving flexibility. At the same time, putties provide a leveling, smooth or textured base for latex paints. Adding MC1502P to the tile adhesive has a long opening time in the early stage and a high grout staining rate in the later stage.
ONYL® modified HPMC is used in putty & skim coat, which can enhance the hardness of the material after it is applied to the wall. Comparing the powder removal before and after polishing, we can see that our HPMC has the best effect.
Wall putty is a very fine material to be applied to any interior or exterior surface. The primary role of HPMC is to provide ease of work for manual coating. In addition, HPMC improves water retention, sag resistance, and crack resistance.
Cement- and plaster-based skim coat/wall putty are used as a final coat on different substrates in a thickness of 2-4 mm. It is a smooth, grit-free, hydraulically settable material applied in multiple layers of skim coats on building interior and exterior projects.

PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:
* Particle size: 98.5% passes through 100 mesh; 100% passes through 80 mesh.
* Charring temperature: 280-300℃.
* Bulk density: 0.25-0.70 g/cm3 (Usually around 0.5 g/cm3 )
* Real specific gravity: 1.26-1.31.
* Browning temperature: 190-200℃.
* Surface tension: (2% water solution) 42-56dyn.cm.
* Properties: Dissolved in water and some organic solvent such as ethanol. propyl alcohol. ethylene chloride, the water solution is of surface activity. It is a nonionic surface active agent. Gelation temperature is different for different grades. For example, among 60RT Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, 60 is gelation temperature, Namely, 2% water solution will form gelation at 60%.
